Winglet is a desktop app that helps your existing Claude Code or Codex plan last longer. It works quietly between the coding agent and the model, trimming stale reads and repeated tool output before they reach the model, while leaving your workflow alone.
Why we built it
Long agent sessions get noisy. After the right file is found, the model may still be carrying the search trail. After a command shows the few lines that matter, the whole log can still sit in context. Ask for the same tool result twice and the session gets heavier again. Winglet trims that waste before it reaches the model, using published research on trajectory reduction and observation masking for LLM agents. The papers are cited on the homepage under How It Works. The goal is simple. Your plan should cover more real work without making the agent worse at the job.
Winglet runs locally and integrates with Claude Code and Codex through hooks. Usage and savings data stay on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, so it works comfortably with private repos, client work, and internal codebases.
